Key Core benefits
Your key core benefits are the things we give you as part of your employment. In this section you can find out about the following:
- Annual holiday
You can take paid holiday every year. How much you can take depends on your band, whether you’re full-time or part-time and how long you’ve worked for us. - Pension Plan
All new employees will become members of the LV= Future Savings section of the Aon MasterTrust. Use the money you build up in your savings account to buy your pension benefits when you retire. - Life assurance
Is about looking after your family and dependants should you pass away whilst working for us. - Income protection
Pays you a regular amount based on a proportion of your earnings if you’re unable to work due to an eligible illness or injury.
- Annual bonus scheme
As an LV= employee you’ll be included in our annual bonus scheme or alternatively a separate sales incentive scheme. - Car allowance
You might be offered a car allowance depending on your role within LV=. If you do get one, the amount will be based on your band. - Private Medical Insurance
Dependant on your band you may have Private Medical Insurance as part of your contract. - LV= Doctors Service
You can use the mobile app 24/7 to give you access to online medical advice, prescription services and second opinions.

Key Flexible benefits
By using MyChoice, our flexible benefits system, you can choose to spend some of your salary on the benefits that are just right for you and your lifestyle.
To give you as much flexibility as possible you can choose to take up many of the benefits on offer at any time. Some you’ll only be able to select during the MyChoice annual window, around December time for the following year. Most of our flexible benefits are offered through ‘salary sacrifice’ which means you agree to a contractual reduction in salary so that LV= can pay for the benefit you’ve selected.
- Life assurance
As a core benefit you’ll receive cover which pays out a tax-free lump sum of four times your basic pay should you pass away during your employment with our organisation. - Private Medical Insurance
Gives you the reassurance of knowing that you and your family will get quick access to private care and treatment. It includes out-patient, day case, private hospital and NHS private wing care. - Dental insurance
You can choose different levels of cover for treatment for you, your partner and your children. You can use the NHS or a private dentist and existing conditions are covered.
- Critical Illness insurance
If you’re diagnosed with a serious illness, this insurance pays out a tax free lump sum (pre-existing conditions are not covered). You can also choose to cover your partner. - Personal Accident insurance
If you’re injured in an accident leading to a permanent disability, this insurance pays out a lump sum. You can also choose to cover your partner and children. It provides worldwide cover 24/7. - Health assessment
An assessment may help to maintain your health by identifying risk factors and suggesting any necessary changes to your lifestyle. There are different levels of assessments available and you can also buy one for your partner. - Cycle to Work
This scheme gives you the loan for a brand new bike and safety equipment to make your commute cheaper, healthier and greener. - Buying or selling holiday
Planning a special trip and need a bit more time off? Or want to make some extra cash? You can buy or sell some of your holiday. - Charity contributions
You can provide charities with a regular income direct from your salary. Not only is it easy; you also won’t pay any tax on your donations.

Need a bit of help? Take advantage of this free and confidential service that you can use at any time. Call EAP to speak to qualified professionals who’ll give you advice on a wide range of subjects. - Wellbeing app
Our wellbeing app is designed to support your mental and physical wellbeing with programmes, reminders and active challenges. Available 24/7, 365 days a year so you can access wherever and whenever you need. - Flu Jabs
We offer the flu vaccine as an annual benefit at the start of flu season each year, which is usually around September/October. A registration form will be sent at this time which you'll need to complete and an e-voucher will then be sent to your preferred email address. - Giving back to our communities
Charity matching - we’ll match everything you raise pound for pound, up to £500. Time off to volunteer - we offer up to two days off to volunteer per year. Pennies for Charity – This allows you to give the spare pennies from your monthly salary to a local good cause.

MyDiscounts – our exclusive online shopping site is designed to give you great savings from all your favourite retailers. LV= products – You and you immediate family are eligible for great discounts on our LV= protection products. - Support for new parents
If you’re a soon-to-be parent, or becoming a parent again, or about to take maternity, paternity or adoption leave, we could be wishing you and your new family all the best with our parent gift. - Season ticket loan
We can help you out with the cost of your travel to work, or parking season tickets by giving you an interest free loan. Season ticket loans can only be used for travel/parking purposes. - Learning and Development
